Cannot reply to a thread, site claims I lack permission

Its been happening for a while now. I have tried clearing cookies and cache for the forums but to no avail.

You cannot respond to a thread you were the last person to respond to it, this is to prevent spam and topic bumping.
Even if you delete your last message, you'll still be the last person to respond to it, rather than deleting it, edit it.
