Hello everybody, I'm Chris, a new guy that just found out about the game and I really like everything about it ^^.
I'm an old APB Player, just like many of you, been playing since OBT, but my main account was banned because I was unrightfully accused of cheating in 2014.
Anyway, let's get into the topic of this thread.

So, as we all predict, Nekrova's gonna have a shop, just like APB has Armas, right?
Well, will prices be different?
Let's take this case:
  • To buy a weapon on Armas, you gotta spend 30$ (Character / Account Lifetime), which is a lot of money, most players being maybe under 18. I would love to see and maybe the other people that are interested in the game as much as I do, low prices, because at least me, I'm afraid to put a lot of money as I did into APB and get banned unrightfully because I was playing better than my opponents. I spent 700$ just to get banned, and that's not fun.
  • So short-story forth: Low prices?
So I'm lookin' forward to what the Developers are going to do about the Paid Shop, if there will be one.

Current plans in regards to pricing (May change at a later date)
  • Base Game - Price TBA
  • Special items (Special weapon skins, clothing items, etc) - ~25 hours of focused game play to unlock it through progression/achievements/rng grind OR a non rng 2,50$ to 5$ price tag
  • Convince items (Expanded inventory slots for more logo's, special decal color sheets, such as glow in the dark colors, extended customization layers) - ~5000 Casino chips OR a 5$ price tag
All in all,
We want our pricing to be focused on the player's wants and needs, and allow the players to not have to buy anything besides the base game.

So, if there's a really cool weapon you want, you have the option to get it through game play, but, if you don't want to invest the time and energy to unlock it, you can also opt to spend a little bit of cash to get it easier.

All in all, we want to give people a reason to continue playing the game, improve in the world, and reward those who keep playing, rather than reward people who have the deepest pockets.

Additionally, we are interested about exploring options that would mutually benefit creators and us, by allowing players to create weapon skins that will work in a similar way like the CS.GO economy (minus the gambling) where players can submit their own weapon skins that are sold on the store, and the profits of those sales would be shared between the creator and us.

And, the perk for the player who buys it, he/she gets to keep the skin forever, so no more gambling, illegal trading or scams!

So Tl.Dr;
We're still discussing pricing options, but expect to be able to receive every weapon, car, abilities, customization elements through game play. As we believe Game Play, and gamers take priority over monetarily gain. We also want to promote creativity, and want to explore possibilities for creators to earn a little bit of money through the game, and an player run economy.

Nice, I like this payment model. In APB, probably one of the most underpowered guns (3-Slot Shredder) is also one of the most expensive on Armas at around $50. That would be a little less than half of what I would need to buy a real handgun.

to confirm if i get this correctly ( all wapons wil be unlockable ) wil this be like apb is 10 day rent or wil it be unlocked for always. tbh i enjoyed the rentable guns a lot for ingame stuff stil this makes it again pay to win in some sort of aspect if i would see it or ingame tax. then again offering a way to let modders or content skin creators make skins for the game is an awsome idea.

also if i see casino chips ( for content creators this wil be handy but i see or would see a lot of unwanted usage after a while of these casino chips) i wonder how u developers wil come with an idea to make casino chips not a Gamble product.

Weapons, clothing, car modifications, weapon modifications, etc will all be unlockable through game play,
Or through the in-game casino, minigames, and or other events.

The Casino chips are basically a currency for special items, think of these as a special currency for things like glow-in-the-dark weapon skins, special kitty backpacks, angel wings for on your back, or a giant ice cream cone to put on your van.

You can earn these (and lose them) by exchanging in-game money for them, e.g 100 Chips = 1000$ and 1000$ = 120 chips, You can wager them in the casino to try to earn more, or you can participate in events, challenges and mini games to earn them as well
(e.g Kill 200 Enforcers with a rocket launcher to get 50 chips, or win a few games at the arcade)

Alternatively, if you don't want to work for them we're thinking of offering players to exchange money for them to get them easily, but this isn't our focus with the system. All in all, EVERYTHING will be unlockable without paying extra.

And everything you CAN pay for, will not have a direct impact on game play.
That said, people who are reading this might go "But luna, they can exchange the chips for in-game money!" Well golly gee billy, they can, but they still need to work hard to even unlock that sick ass sniper rifle, before they can spend that cash!

As for weapons and unlocks, most weapons you lease for a period of time, think of 5000$ for a 30 day lease on the G36C, after the lease is over, you can give it back to the contact you bought it from, and get a new gun.

That said, there can be timed exclusives that you can get, for example the G36C+ Which has this nice golden paint job on it....
Anyway, that variant is rewarded by completing a special event and getting the achievement attached, weapons like that don't expire, and you can trade yours on the black market as well. (people just won't be able to get them till the event swings back around, or they might be gone forever to make them extra special!)

With the discussion of the payment prices, what would be the likely payment methods?
Most of the G1C I've spent was through BOKU and my phone credit, so if there is a similar methods, I'd opt myself in to buying things.
